About Black Ivy Apothecary
Black Ivy Apothecary was born out of frustration — and necessity.
I’ve always believed in natural living. I grew up surrounded by country life, gardens, home-canned food, vitamins, herbal remedies, and the understanding that what you put on and in your body matters. Wellness wasn’t a trend in my home — it was a way of life.
As I got older, I became deeply invested in both holistic health and natural beauty. But when my skin began reacting badly to so-called “natural” products — and when I saw how many wellness products were loaded with unnecessary fillers and questionable ingredients — I knew something had to change.
So I started formulating my own.
Today, Black Ivy Apothecary exists for people who are done with toxic products, empty promises, and shortcuts in both skincare and wellness. Every product — whether it’s something you apply to your skin or take as part of your daily wellness routine — is formulated and tested by me personally, often for months before it ever reaches the shelf. If I wouldn’t use it on myself or my children, I will not sell it. Period.
I hold a degree in Holistic Health Sciences from the American College of Healthcare Sciences, and I am currently completing my degree in Holistic Skincare Formulation through an accredited program. My work blends traditional herbal wisdom, modern formulation science, and real-world testing to create products that don’t just sound good — they work.
When I formulate, I’m not only focused on the chemistry and the ingredients. I set clear intentions for the finished product — that whoever it reaches receives the full benefit of what it was created to do, whether that’s nourishing the skin, supporting the body, or strengthening daily wellness rituals. Every formula is created with care, focus, and purpose.
